Do you know what tonight is? It’s family movie night! I’ve been waiting for this night since Walmart flew me and some of the other Walmart Moms out to New York City for a preview of Secrets of the Mountain! You can see what we had to say in the following video clip. Email readers will need to click through.
The movie was great, and I just know my kids will enjoy it tonight! We’ll be eating homemade pizza and popcorn to make it an extra-fun night. This couldn’t come at a better time, as my son asked this week if we could have family movie night every Friday night!
Secrets of the Mountain airs at 8:00 tonight on NBC!
News of Note
Tax day is finally behind us, and the NeatReceipts giveaway is closed. The winner of the drawing is Matt Hyclak! He has been notified by email. Congratulations, Matt!

An Update on My Family
First of all, thank you all for your words of encouragement! They mean a lot to me in this week following the passing of my mother-in-law. Her service is at the end of next week, so my posting may continue to be sporadic until then.
On top of that, we’re wrapping up our homeschool year this week, too. When I told the kids we’d have to continue school for another half week, because we need to take a couple of days off for family commitments, I was met with huge protests. So they’re working hard to cram their last 5 days of school into 4, so we’ll be finished on Wednesday. That said, I should be back into the swing of things in about a week and a half.
Have a great weekend!

So sorry again to hear about your mother in law. It’s always hard to lose a loved one, our prayers are with you.
Thanks for the link..
Take all the time you need.
Family always always should come first!
More sunshine prayers headed your way :)
To your children: Congratulations for working so hard to finish the school year a little early. I know you are looking forward to summer. I continue, Lynnae, to hold your family in my prayers. Thanks once again for a really good round up. It’s nice to have Family Movie nights, and as you are making homemade pizza it is also frugal. Have a wonderful time tonight.
Good luck to you and the kids to cram the rest of the year in the next few days! And my thoughts are with you and your family with your loss.
And what’s kind of funny, is Wednesday I was talking about homemade pizza! And a few days before that (or was it yesterday?) I was blurfing about cooking popcorn in the micro in a brown paper bag! (very frugal!) What I *still* don’t know is how you add melted butter to popcorn without shriveling it all up!! :)
Let both the butter and the popcorn cool a few minutes and dribble it slowly :)
Some of my favorite memories are family movie nights. Every year my family had a date to watch Wizard of Oz and Sound of Music – great times!
Do not get your girls wear a plain white bridesmaid dresses.
