Whether you’re for it or against it, this week marked a big change in our policies regarding healthcare in the United States. The final vote on the reconciliation package took place last night and passed. Watching the politics of the healthcare bill this week has been…interesting.
Have you read the text of the bill? Neither have I, so I’m not going to comment on what’s in it. There are so many different stories flying around the news, it’s hard to know what to believe. Time will tell, I guess. Regardless, I like going to the source, so I downloaded the text of the bill and the first reconciliation measure to hopefully read over the weekend. I’m still looking for the text of the reconciliation measure that was passed last night. I’ll let you know if I read anything interesting.
If you’d like to look at the actual text, you can visit this CBS article summarizing the bill. At the end of the article, in the “More Details of the Bill” section, there are links to the text of both the bill and the reconciliation measure that was passed on Sunday.
