This weekend we move from winter into spring. We’re almost through the first quarter of 2010 already! How are your finances doing, three months into the year?
Have you been sticking to your budget? I’m still plugging along with my YNAB 3 budget. I’ve had to make a few tweaks, but we’re on track, for the most part.
Have you begun to save for Christmas yet? If not, why don’t you make it a goal to start a specific savings account for Christmas before March is over? You’ll be thankful in December.
How are your taxes coming? I finally finished mine. They’re not filed yet, and I owe a tad more than I thought I would. But they’re ready to be filed, and I’ll send them off before April 15. If you’re still preparing your taxes, and you need some tax advice, mark March 25 on your calendar. On that date, H&R Block will be answering tax questions from 12:01 am CST to 11:59 pm CST. Just call 1-888-HRBLOCK or email taxtalk@hrblock.com on March 25.

Thanks for mention the contest! We just mailed our taxes this week. We completed them a while ago, but to claim $8k home credit, we had to find our paperwork to send in. It took about a dozen boxes before we found them in a plastic bag behind the closet at our old place.
I just opened a SmartyPig account! This year, I will be prepared for Christmas shopping. Thanks so much for the info.
Why did you close you other blog? I enjoyed reading that
Which one? LOL
The homeschooling one is live, but I moved it to a different domain. I haven’t made any new posts recently, but you can find it at http://www.freelancehomeschoolmom.com.
I am pleased to say we are still on track. We will be paying off our car and several other bills in the next few months. The money from the paid off bills will then be snowballed into two other bills that we need to knock down. Great roundup, as usual.
glad to hear the budget is going well.
Thanks for the mention! :)
Few months back I just gone with real tax problem, but now a bit relaxed. It’s good to read your post well written.
Hi Lynnae,
Loved the round up!!! Couldn’t resist the “Caffeine” POST. Very “stimulating!” Also thought your carnival submissions were informative!!
The ow to write a check link is perfect for the co-op class I teach. Thank you.
