No, because I had a job a year ago, and don’t have one now.

However, I’m not doing without, and have not cut back tremendously. I’ve been out of debt a long, long time, with a large emergency fund – just for times like these.

I’m about the same as I was a year ago. Always been fairly frugal, but got more serious about it as time went by. Came to realize that ‘stuff’ did not make me happier. Plus, I’ve got all that I need now.

I would say more frugal. I’m thinking more about money before I spend it – which didn’t happen a year ago. If I wanted it, I just charged it. I told myself as long as I can pay the bill in full; it was okay. Today, I rarely use my credit card. I get a set amount of money out of the bank once a month and when that is gone; I have to wait until next month. I am also eating out of the freezer and pantry more – no more just stopping at the store for ‘a few items’ and leaving with a full cart. The result is more money in my bank – and that is a good thing.

Frugal fatique is not a term I’ve heard before – interesting concept.
I’ve been frugal probably since birth – so I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such a thing.

For me, spending money is tiring – not being frugal :)
Guess it’s a mindset.

Sadly i think it is true, people will forget about being economical and slip back to their old spending ways. Although i think this time it will come back and bite them in the behind a lot sooner.

My family and I are trying harder to maintain our levels of frugality and perhaps even trying to increase them – I have found that trying to spend less has been a bit fun for me (I would have never thought that someday I’d feel this way since I had always wanted to “keep up” with the Joneses while growing up- but NO MORE – Yay!). For those who are out of work right now, keep the faith. I have been in your shoes and know how difficult it is. I include all of you in my prayers and hope a new, better job is around the corner.

My husband is looser with his spending these days but I’m still scared about the economy, so my wallet is locked tight!
