Today my oldest baby turns 12. It’s hard to believe we’re just a year away from teenhood. It seems like just yesterday that she was learning to walk and talk.
Still, I wouldn’t trade the young woman she is today for anything. I always dreaded the ‘tween/teen years. People make them out to be so awful, but really, I’m loving this age. Sure, Stargirl is opinionated, as I was at that age (and still am). But I like discussing real issues, adult to young adult.
Tonight we’ll be splurging and celebrating! Stargirl requested a low key party, just a one friend sleepover. She also requested pizza and ice cream cake. Since we’re not spending money on a big shindig, we decided to splurge on an ice cream cake. I’m sure we’ll have a great time.
The Roundup
I have been working way too hard this week. I had a bunch of projects to work on, so there were days I worked from the end of the homeschool day until way too late at night. Because of that, I don’t have any deals to post today. I haven’t had the time to look for them! But I do have some great articles from around the web. Enjoy!

Carnivals
I participated in the following blog carnivals this week:
A big thanks to all the hosts. Putting together a blog carnival is a lot of hard work!
That’s it for the roundup! Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday, Stargirl! I hope it’s a great one!

Happy Birthday, Stargirl! February birthdays are fun. My birthday and those of my two eldest grandchildren are this month. My eldest grandson will be six on the 28th, and the middle one will be 3 on my birthday (the 14th). I know your sleepover will be a lot of fun.
Happy B-Day! Our oldest just turned 10. The ‘tween years will be “interesting.”
Happy birthday to your daughter. My oldest is 15 1/2 now—seems she was just a baby and now she’s old enough for her driving learner’s permit (gasp!). Enjoy these years because once they get to Middle School, the time really FLIES!!
Happy Birthday, Stargirl. :)
Happy Birthday Stargirl!!! :) How sweet
Is Stargirl her name?
