Support the American Cancer Society and Get a Great Deal! Plus a Giveaway!

by Lynnae on October 1, 2009 · 38 comments

I’m so excited to tell you about this offer!  The folks at Trialpay.com contacted me and asked me to spread the word about a fundraiser they’re doing for the American Cancer Society.

Cancer seems to touch everyone in one way or another, and I’d love to see more strides made for treatment.  One of my aunts passed away from cancer earlier this year, so it’s an issue that’s been on my mind.

So, I’m glad to spread the word and promote this fundraiser.  Basically, the folks at Trialpay.com contacted a bunch of companies and asked them to give coupons and services for this fundraiser.  Then the coupons and services would be sold for an INSANELY low price, and all proceeds would go to benefit the American Cancer Society.

The Big Bundle

The “Big Bundle”, as it’s called, consists of the following:

  • Papa John’s $10 gift card (only to the first 2500 bundles)
  • Restaurant.com $25 gift certificate
  • Skype 1 month unlimited US & Canada Subscription
  • Trend Micro:  Antivirus + Antispyware 2010
  • Gap: $20 off $100 at Gap.com
  • Tripit:  6 months of Tripit Pro
  • ZAGAT:  6 month subscription to ZAGAT.com
  • Corel:  Photo Album 7
  • PETCO.com:  $25 off $100 purchase
  • Hotels.com:  $50 off a 3 night stay
  • 1-800-FLOWERS:  $20 Gift Card
  • Snapfish:  16 x 20 poster
  • Evernote:  $25 off Evernote Premium
  • WinZip:  Winzip 12.1 Standard
  • Shoebuy:  $10 Gift Certificate
  • Threadless Tees:  $5 Coupon
  • Collectorz:  Movie Collector – Standard Edition
  • Nordstrom:  $20 Rebate with $100 Purchase
  • Roboform Pro
  • Mozy:  50% off one year of Mozy Home Unlimited
  • Playfirst:  Diner Dash
  • ImToo/Xilisoft:  3GP Video Converter
  • Foxit:  PDF Creator
  • CircuitCity.com:  $10 off $100 Purchase
  • Dropbox:  3 months Dropbox Pro (50GB)
  • CyberLink:  Media Show 5
  • Picnik:  6 months Picnik Premium
  • 23andMe:  $50 off the Full Edition
  • Lancome:  Free Shipping on Any Order Plus 4 Deluxe Samples
  • SmugMug:  $25 off a SmugMug Account
  • PopCap Games:  Bejeweled 2
  • Godaddy:  1 Domain

The total retail value of the above?  $799.01.  The promo price for the fundraiser?  $29.99 with 100% of the net proceeds going to the American Cancer Society! PLUS, you can get 30% off the Big Bundle by using the coupon code BEINGFRUGAL3 at checkout, bringing the total down even further!

So if more than $29.99 worth of the above mentioned items appeal to you, consider buying the package to support the American Cancer Society. There are only 100,000 Big Bundles available, and once they sell out, that’s it. And there are only 1000 uses of the BEINGFRUGAL3 coupon available, so if you’re thinking about buying a bundle, sooner would be better.

You can see the full list of items above, as well as what they’re worth on The Big Bundle page.  And be sure to read the FAQ before you buy, as there’s some important information there.

The Giveaway

I am going to give one Big Bundle away to a lucky reader! Just leave a comment on this post, letting me know which of the above products or coupons you would like the most.

I will close comments next Friday, October 9 at noon, PST and draw a winner using a random number generator.  The winner will have 3 days to contact me, so I can give their info to the Trial Pay people for prize fulfillment.  Only one entry per person, please.

And if you REALLY want a Big Bundle, I would suggest buying one, rather than waiting for the end of the giveaway. The fundraiser will end on October 14 or when all 100,000 bundles have been sold, whichever is sooner.  And the Big Bundles are expected to sell out quickly.  Plus the money goes to the American Cancer Society!  So it’s all for a good cause!

I would probably use the Petco coupon first, but there are a lot of others that I would take advantage of as well. And for a good cause, too!

The only coupon I might use is the flowers one.
I have no clue what most of those even are!
Obviously, I am not in the spending loop at all :)

Generous donors tho – and a good cause!

I bought one of these for a friend’s mom, who is a cancer survivor, and she loved it. I wasn’t planning to buy another one for myself but kind of wanted to do so after seeing all the cool stuff it had.

Great deal. If I had any extra money this month I would definitely partake. However, I’m broke so I will have to hope I win the giveaway.

That’s pretty amazing. I’ll have to decide whether or not I want to buy it, but I’d certainly like to win it if I don’t buy (and if I do, I’d let you know to pick a 2nd winner. :) )

I’m most interested in the GoDaddy free domain. But I’m sure most else I could sell. For probably more then I got it for. I mean a lot of it just isn’t relevant to Canadians.

Both my parents died as a result of cancer. Twice a month I ourchase flowers for their grave. The 800 Flowers would go towards my monthly floral expense which gives me an opportunity to meet with my parents reflecting on the beauty of the memories and the sweet scent of the flowers.
