I’m coming to your house for dinner! I’d planned on making Chili on Sunday and reinvesting it in tacos for Monday but it was just WAY too hot to deal with the heat in a small kitchen so tonight we had $1 burgers from the local burger kind. Hey, sometimes it works when you stick to the cheap side of the menu and make your own sides.

Thanks for the link to the pizza dough recipe! I’m definitely going to try it very soon.

You know, it occurs to me that you could “reward” yourself for cooking at home, by putting the money you would spend on take-out or at a restaurant into a separate account, and use it for Christmas or something nice for your family, or you could even add it to your Emergency Fund.

My homemade pizza is basically:

Buy or make a crust. I keep wanting to try the crust found here:

Add sauce, cheese, and whatever we have in the house that would taste good on pizza. It’s a great way to use up veggies and random left over meat.

And I knew some astute reader would notice the site changes. It’s still a work in progress, but so far I like it too! Thanks!

It does sound like you are making some progress! Keep it up! I would love to know how you make your homemade pizza, because I want to make it also. It’s really not frugal to buy takeout pizza, and homemade HAS to taste better and it could be healthier, also.
