Since I’ve been in Chicago for the better part of the week, I haven’t had time to read a lot of blog posts this week. In fact, I’ll confess something. I actually wrote this post last Monday before I left.
It’s hard to do a roundup post, when you haven’t read any blogs all week, but it turns out that several of my friends and family have exciting things happening in their online lives. So today I’m going to do a different kind of roundup. I’m going to share a bit about the accomplishments of my friends and family. I’m so proud of them all!
First off, my husband’s blog, Bump-Drafts.com, was named as part of NASCAR’s Citizen Journalist Media Corps. I’m so excited that NASCAR has recognized that Jim is an excellent sports writer! Not that I’m biased or anything. But really, he’s pretty good!
Next, I’d like to congratulation Larry (aka Gibble) on the sale of his blog, Gather Little by Little. Though I’m sad that he’s leaving the realm of personal finance blogging, I’m happy that he was able to use the money to pay off all his debt, except his mortgages. That’s a pretty big accomplishment! And I’m looking forward to getting to know the new owner, whom I’ve heard very good things about.
Finally, my friend Jemelene has started a blog, Prayers of Hope, that highlights the prayer needs of families with critically ill children. I won’t steal Jem’s thunder by posting her story here. You can read about her on her blog. But I’m extremely proud that she’s taken difficult circumstances in her own life and turned them into blessings for others.
I know this is a short and sweet roundup, but I hope you enjoyed it! I’m looking forward to being back home next week, giving you a rundown on BlogHer, and getting back to my regular posting schedule! I may or my not have a new post on Monday. It all depends on how much writing I get done Sunday at the Seattle airport during my layover. Have a great weekend! I’ll be back online Monday or Tuesday.
