Is it just me, or is the summer flying by? Since we’ll be starting our homeschool in August, my summer is just about over. As one last hurrah, before I get back into the swing of things, I’m headed off to BlogHer in Chicago on Wednesday, courtesy of Walmart.
I’m looking forward to seeing old bloggy friends, meeting new bloggy friends, and learning how I can become a better blogger. So if you happen to be heading to BlogHer, be sure to let me know, so I can put a face with your name!
News of Note
Because I will be gone at the end of next week, I’m not sure what my posting schedule will look like for the next week and a half. I’m going to try to have posts scheduled every weekday, but sometimes life gets in the way, so my posting schedule might be light.
This week only, Kerry of Squawkfox is giving away her ebook “The Insider’s Guide to Frugal Food & Fitness” to anyone! Normally this offer is only open to her subscribers, so if you’re interested (and you should be!), make sure to head over there to download your copy today! It’s a great ebook!

Enjoy the trip to Chicago… it’s a beautiful city! Check out one of “The RoseBud” restaurants – authentic Italian that is simply delicioso. I took my wife there for a romantic dinner once when we were visiting the city.
It’s already been well over 100 degrees for several days here…and we keep our thermostat set at 80 degrees, with the curtains closed and with ceiling fans and desk fans running to keep our cats from getting sick during the day when we’re gone. It must be working, because the house is not stifling at the end of the day and our electricity bill is actually pretty reasonable.
I am sure you will learn a lot at BlogHer, and I hope you have a great time.
Thank you so much for mentioning my eBook Lynnae! Love you! Have a safe trip Chicago!
Thanks for the link Lynnae! I hope you enjoy Chicago – have you been before? I’ve been quite a few times since Chicago is probably the closest “BIG” city near to us – if you don’t count Minneapolis of course. Enjoy your time there!
