It's tough to get a post done sometimes, isn't it?
Especially, when life gets in the way.
The worst is when you're tired from work or can't think of any ideas.
It's ok to take a break sometimes - people will still come back, I find!

I recommend a "Make us an offer..." Yard Sale. It saves TONS of time going through everything and pricing it and keeps the stickiness of tags/masking tape off the merchandise. It also promotes haggling and I think you're more likely to get rid of your items and still make money!

My garage sale tip: Use original packaging when you can for small appliances or electronics, and save manuals and instruction books and include them with the items you are selling. If you do not have the original packaging, put them into sturdy bags or small cartons.

We had almost the same weekend to a tee! Birthday party sleepover on Friday though, soccer game on Saturday, we usually have two but one son didn't have games this weekend, church Sunday morning and then we also went out for Mexican Food. It sounds as if you had a wonderful Mothers Day also. Saturday night we also had our second daughters homeschool talent fair/showcase. Then late yesterday afternoon we went to see my nephew who will be leaving for Georgia then Iraq with our National Guard troop here in Roseburg.

Tip for yard sale-have a neighborhood one or at least several friends. Advertise alot, and display items as if they would be in a store. Dishware together, toys clothes, etc. I have more people comment on how organized mine are and they love how everything is displayed in groups. This comes from years of working in retail!

Have a great day!

It sounds to me like you, your children, and their friends had a great time! Good for you for taking time to be with your family! And I'm glad your Mother's Day was enjoyable.

My tip on yard sales is that if you are going to advertise one, give a list of what types of things you have. I might not drive 10 miles to go to a yard sale that advertises clothes for sale but if I know that you have boy's clothes sizes 6-10 and I need them, I would be a lot more motivated to drive. I see lots of yard sales advertised but few that really motivate me to want to go out of my way. The more precise you can be, the more people you will attract and they will be people looking for what you have to sell.
