In preparation for SXSW, I have been madly scheduling posts and guest posts to run while I’m gone. I’ve been shopping. I’ve been coordinating childcare for my kids and trying to schedule parent-teacher conferences for after I return. I made time to head to Walmart to buy an iPhone as part of a long term review for Walmart and Apple. And yes, Walmart is footing the bill. I have not given up my frugal ways!
Yes, it’s been an incredibly busy week! And next week promises to be even busier!
Blog of the Week
We’ve reached the end of the M-Network blogs, so I’m going to start from the top of my feed reader and work my way down. The next blog I’m going to highlight is:
Peter, the author of Bible Money Matters is a Christian and Dave Ramsey fan. He desires to honor God with his finances, as do I. That’s why I love his blog.
News of Note
As I mentioned yesterday, I’m headed off to SXSW on Thursday. I’ll be gone for a week. Then I’m back for a few days, before I leave to speak at the CPG Summit. So there will be lots of guest posts (though I’ve scheduled a few of my own posts, too), and I might be slow to answer email.
Frugal Coast2Coast has a new website at www.frugalcoast2coast.com! We’ll be posting show reminders and show notes over there. We also have a signup for email reminders for the shows in the sidebar!
Speaking of Frugal Coast2Coast, be sure to catch Monday’s show. We’re talking to Kathryn Finney, author of How to be a Budget Fashionista! And there might even be some cool giveaways!
The Roundup
It’s short this week, as I haven’t had a lot of time to read blogs!
- Ron explains how he paid off over $120,000 in debt in 52 months! Way to go, Ron! I love the way he wrote this post, too. He gives his “recipe” for paying off debt.
- Ivy says you have to think like a kitchen manager to minimize food waste at Home Ec 101.
- Pinyo asks what caused the economic crisis at Moolanomy. Make sure you read the comments, too. Great discussion!
- Patrick tells you what to do if you lose your purse or wallet at Cash Money Life.
- Nikki declares that she’s willing to do without at Domestic Cents! Great post! And so true!
Have a fabulous weekend!
