Hot fruity tea with honey. A warm blankie, comfy pillows, thick fluffy socks, a roasty fire in the woodstove, sunshine thru the window, and a great book.

Of course, here in wintertime Oregon, the sunshine part usually falls a little short of the mark :)

Naps, quiet music, ginger and chicken soup, and tea with honey. Add a half shot of burbon to the tea once per day if there is a fever. A nice hot shower will help as well. get better soon.

I'm with Carolyn -- a shower followed by clean sheets at bedtime, snuggly pillow and blanket on the couch or recliner during the day. LOTS of fluids.... for me, ginger ale is the tonic when I'm sick. Naps are good, too!
Hope you all are feeling better soon. The bug I had is lingering, too; maybe it's just that kind of winter. (But spring is coming!)

Take a very tall mug or glass.

Fill half with orange juice.

Fill rest of glass with 7up or diet 7up.

Result: fizzy orange juice.

Naps on the couch under lots of blankets, TV shows you'd never watch otherwise ;-), 7-Up and toast. (I know I'm sick when I want 7-Up because I never drink it otherwise!) A nice warm shower at bedtime to wash the sickies off, and ask your dear hubby to change your bed sheets. Nothing like fresh sheets to make you feel better! Hope you and your son improve quickly. Take care!

Tea, a warm quilt, flannel pjs and socks - and just rest, rest, rest. oh and of course a ton of fluids to flush all the nasties out of you. Hope you feel better soon - we will certainly wait for you!

I have a strict regimen when I am sick...every 4 hours, I take a sudafed, 2 advil (if needed), and a shot of OJ. Otherwise, I guzzle the whole gallon in about a day and overload on sugar! I can sympathize with the ear infection...I'm dealing with one now. I use swim-ear drops to help dry out the moisture, and a friend introduced me to Hyland's homeopathic earache drops. Those things are a God-send!!!

I'm a big fan of Vitamin C, chicken noodle soup, and LOTS of water or juice. Of course, every mom knows a popsicle makes anybody feel better! I also suggest an OTC med like Sudafed PE for you. It's non-drowsy and promotes drainage instead of drying it up (an expectorant and a decongestant). When you are sick, whatever gunk you have is better out than in!

Mrs. Grass's noodle soup.

It was a staple at my Mom's house and I always have a box on hand for my girls.

Hope you and your son feel better soon.
