TGIF: Back to the Routine Edition

by Lynnae on January 9, 2009 · 0 comments

The kids have been back in school for a week now, and I’m settling back into my writing routine.  It’s also been an eventful week with the debut of both my Blog Talk Radio Show and Ask the M-Network.

Post of the Week

This week the post of the week is more along the lines of blog of the week.  You all know cooking is not my favorite thing, and I often need inspiration for frugal recipes.  Well yesterday, I found a fairly new recipe blog containing yummy looking frugal recipes.  And there are wonderful pictures to go with each recipe!  It’s like having your very own online frugal cookbook!

And the blog of the week is……(drumroll, please)

Frugal Family Foodies:  Eating Fresh, Seasonal Food Without Breaking the Bank

I suddenly have a craving for Potato Soup with Kale and Chorizo

News of Note

As I said before, it’s been a busy, busy week.  Here are some highlights.

  • The debut of Frugal Coast2Coast, my blog talk radio show with Jenn of Frugal Upstate went very well! You can catch us here every Monday evening at 8:30 EST/5:30 PST.  And if you can’t make it then, you can always find the latest show in my sidebar!
  • The M-Network rolled out a new feature: Ask the M-Network. If you have a financial or frugal question, contact me, and different members of the M-Network will weigh in with their opinion.  In fact, I’ll be posting the answers to the first couple of question next week!
  • Being Frugal.net is now featured on a new site, Parents R People.com. Parents R People is a new social networking site that brings together parents and professionals.  The site looks to be very promising, so keep your eye on it!
  • Oprah is offering a free download of Suze Orman’s 2009 Action Plan through January 15.

Whew!  I think that’s it!  Have a fabulous weekend, and I’ll be back Monday!
