Kitchen next, please :) I'm with you on all those little expenses that come up... trim, or a lock, screws, or hinges, wood strips, or specialized tool, more painter's tape and another paintbrush, another outlet cover, or a wire...etc, etc, etc... I'm a year and a half into this remolding and it still amazes me that I have to run to the store for yet something else at least once a week...all little things, but essentials for me to get the certificate of occupancy :) There's just no way you can know ahead of time that you will need that gidget or whatever until you get to that part! My dad is actually financing most of the renovations, so that is a HUGE blessing for us. But we also had a certain amount of cash set aside, too, and that's also helped. And no, I haven't used my credit cards. :) Things will definitely be tight for the next couple of months, though. There are always extra things that come up when you move, it seems. The official wall color throughout most of the house is "Toasted Cashew". It's kind of a taupe-y color. I wanted something neutral and light to make the rooms look bigger. The doors & trim will be a pure white, and it's a nice contrast when you see it in person. Liz's room is a pale yellow, which matches her bedding set. And Sam's room is white.
