Thanks again Lynnae for getting some posts up on my bible money matters while i've been at the hospital. Today we found out that my wife's blood is where it needs to be, but that she is now having withdrawl symptoms from the pain medication she was on. The battle continues, and everyone's prayers are still appreciated!

On NOT eating out: Have you seen/tried the Cook for a Day - Eat for a Month systems? Aka Frozen Assets...also the Lite and Easy version.... These cookbooks are Great!!! And the nice thing is you can use meals from any of your favorite cookbooks and family favorites and accomplish the same thing!
While I don't cook enough for a month of frozen foods all at once, I do many of double and triple etc batches, and all the chicken meals at once, or the beef meals, etc.... As I take lunch to work, this has been great for me! When I cook up a bunch and put into lunch sized portions, I take them to my work freezer (there's only 2 of us at work) and keep lunch there... By taking in a new batch each week, I have a variety to chose from and don't have to eat the same thing every day... Just keep them labeled or stacked in separate piles, and choose from a different pile each day.

The plus is that I am eating good mostly homegrown foods each day! I also do this for family meals - always making at least a double batch - one (or more) for the freezer! This stocks up fast! It's all the the book! And it works! Even for someone as disorganized as I am :)
