Midweek Roundup - Garden Sprouts

This isn’t a great picture, but you can kind of see the salad greens and scallions sprouting in my garden.
Wonder of wonders. Despite all the cold, yucky weather we’ve had, my garden has sprouted. I have little lettuce, carrot, and scallion sprouts coming up in three of my garden squares! So exciting! The strawberries I transplanted against our fence last fall are looking good, too! I can taste the freezer jam already!
I also celebrated a semi-successful Earth Day yesterday. If I had planned ahead, I would have taken David’s advice and stayed out of the stores. Unfortunately, I was out of food, so I had to hit the grocery store. I did, however, use my reusable grocery bags, and instead of buying paper towels, I bought some microfiber cloths.
I didn’t participate in any carnivals this week, so I don’t have a carnival roundup for you. I would like to highlight a couple of links though.
On my other site, Lynnae’s Bookshelf, I have a giveaway for the book My Soul To Keep by Melanie Wells (Christian Fiction). I generally do a book giveaway every Friday, so check back often.
I also wanted to point out Swaptree.com. It’s a website similar to Paperbackswap, but you can trade books, DVDs, music, and video games. I haven’t personally tried it, but I like the concept. If you’ve tried Swaptree before, I’d love to hear about your experience.
And finally, if you haven’t taken advantage of the $25 signup bonus for Revolution Money Exchange, you might want to do so soon. It’s a service like paypal, but without the fees. I’ve sent money using this service already, and the transaction was very smooth.
If you sign up, you get $25. Then you can refer your spouse, and your spouse will get $25, and you will get $10. $60 total! Not a bad deal! The referral bonus is good until May 15, so sign up before then.

i have tried swaptree afer a fellow book club member raved about it. i love it. its really easy and well designed. the fact that its free and green is amazing.
Thanks for the mention, Lynnae!
Thanks for the Swaptree link. It looks like something that my hubby and I will be using a lot. We always swap with our friends, but this will allow us to work with a bigger pool.
The weather is getting nicer! Celebrate! I really really really want to garden! I can’t wait until I have a yard to play with.
I <3 Swaptree muchly. You should give it a go
What’s great is that they do three-way trading, so you give to person A, they give to person B, and then B sends something to you. I also like that you can swap CDs, DVDs, video games and books interchangeably, which makes it much more versatile than paperbackswap, swapacd, or swapadvd. You know? Gotta love it.
