Mid-Week Roundup - I’m on the mend!

I’m so glad to be feeling better!

After being sick with a bad cold all weekend, I’m finally feeling a little bit like myself again! It’s a good thing, too, because it’s a busy week! Since I pretty much missed my roundup over the weekend, I have a lot to cover today.

Last week I posted that you could get $25 for signing up for an account with Revolution Money Exchange (a service like Paypal, but without the fees) if you signed up before April 15. If you missed the deadline, I have great news! Revolution Money Exchange has extended their deadline until May 15! You can sign up right here to get your $25 bonus!

I actually used Revolution Money Exchange this week to send money to someone, and it was so nice to know that nobody was paying any fees, unlike transactions through Paypal.

Also, I was invited to make a profile on Godlinked (think Facebook for Christians). If you have a profile over there, or decide to make a profile, feel free to add me as a friend. My username is….are you ready?….Lynnae (I know. Very original).

Speaking of social networks, I received an email from Jodi at Intuit, and they are giving away $350 and a Free YEAR of Quicken online EVERY WEEK until June 23. All you have to do to enter is become a Facebook Fan of Quicken Online.

While you’re on Facebook, if you want to add me as a friend or become a fan of Being Frugal, feel free to do so!

Now let’s get to a couple of quick links.

I participated in the Carnival of Personal Finance on Monday with my 168 Frugal Tips post. So in a way, all of you who contributed ideas for that post participated, too. Give yourselves a big pat on the back! Thanks to Gibble for hosting, and if you want to see some great pictures of North Carolina, go see the carnival for yourselves!

Finally, one of my readers sent me a link to a great article at the Wall Street Journal online. Parting Shot: What I Learned From Writing 1,008 Columns by Jonathan Clements. Thanks, Scott, for the great link!

Lynnae, I’m glad you’re feeling better now. My entire household had “the crud” for an entire month, so I understand how you must have been feeling.

Lynnae, did you know that the link to the article above “1008…” goes to your facebook page? Or am I just missing something?

@Lee - Thanks for catching that! I’m off to find the article, so I can change the link. Check back in a few minutes.
