So true. I was recently decided to part with one of my treasures, a motorcycle, that I've had in my basement for 6 years (!). Moth may not have much to do with the decision, but rust certainly did.

Thank you for the reminder, Lynnae. I was just sitting here feeling sad because I freecycled some baby clothes this afternoon (my babies are turning three next month)...and just saw that the recipient re-posted them. It shouldn't matter, my closet is cleaned out, but I realize now that I was "hurt" because she didn't want what had such emotional value to me. Your post reminded me that THINGS are not my treasure. My treasure is the little boys that wore those clothes and most importantly, the peace that comes from following my heart and showing the face of love to each person that I meet. Thank you.

That's just what I needed to read right this moment! I recently realized that I was storing treasures here on earth with my Pottery Barn and Williams - Sonoma obsession. But I'm coming to the conclusion that none of that stuff matters. I've slowly started selling all of it off. I never would have thought I could do that.
