On Easter Outfits for Church: It is funny because I teach Art to Elementary Age, My husband is a Mechanic, and my son is a little over 2 1/2 years old. Luckily our Church is a Jeans kind of church. We do not ever have to buy clothes due to all the above. We just buy "nice" clothes if an event occurs...like a Baptism, Wedding, and our trip this summer, etc... Otherwise, we wait for gifts from my mom which is usually clothes. :-)

I was not planning on buying my boys Easter outfits either as it was not in the budget. But my mom was like they have to have new clothes. But she was going to let them pick, which meant a new t-shirt and jeans. They have plenty of t-shits and jeans. I wanted them to get nice church clothes (as we are going to church.) So somehow I ended up spending $52 at Kohl's on only one kids outfit and $16 on Easter candy at Cost Cutters. I am kicking myself. My mom spent $90 buying my other son 1 pair jeans, 2 t-shirts, a nice button down shirt, a belt, new underwear, and socks. I could have bought a whole spring wardrobe for $90 not one outfit. This is why I never go to stores. Especially with tired, cranky kids and me being kranky too as it is night time.
I hate spending money I don't have. Basically I spent my food money for the week, so now will be creative eating out of the pantry. No fresh fruit this week. I guess we all mess up now and again. I am glad you planned ahead this year. -Becky
