It’s time for March Madness! Vote for Me!

March Madness has begun at Free Money Finance! In case you have no idea what that is (I sure didn’t until a few weeks ago), it’s a tournament, where bloggers “play” each other with their posts. Readers vote for their favorites by leaving a comment, saying what posts are their favorites in each game. As the tournament goes on, winners advance to the next round, and the losers go home. The champion wins $500 donated to the charity of their choice.

Right now my post It Hit Me Like a Ton of Bricks is playing in Game 8, so go vote for it! If I win, the money will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but my mom was diagnosed with leukemia 5 years ago (she’s doing well), and last year my aunt was diagnosed with the same type of leukemia.

In addition, I’ve been following Dylan’s story (he also has leukemia) for quite some time. If you have a moment, say a prayer for him. He’s starting a new treatment soon, and this one needs to work, as he’s running out of options. So far so good, though.

So the issue of leukemia is an important one to me, and I would love to send the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society some money to help search for better treatments for this awful disease. So please go vote!
