Weekend Roundup – I’ve Been a Mom for a Decade Edition

by Lynnae on February 9, 2008 · 9 comments

This week we celebrated my daughter’s 10th birthday!  10 years!  I still can’t believe it’s been that long since I first held her in the hospital. In ways it seems like yesterday, and in ways she already seems so grownup.  It’s bittersweet, really.  On the one hand, I miss the little girl that she was, but on the other hand, I’m so proud of the young woman she has become.  My mom was right when she told me time seems to move faster, the older you get.  Sometimes it’s going too fast for my taste.

I don’t have much of a roundup for you this week.  Between birthdays, illnesses, and a busy schedule for my family, I didn’t get much reading done this week.  However, there is lots of good reading for you from the carnivals, and that will keep you busy for a long time.

And the voting is now closed for the first ever Personal Finance Superbowl!  I will be back later to give you the final results!  Stay tuned!

I can totally relate. With 6 kids it seems that we’re hitting a new milestone for someone every year, be it first steps, first day at school, or going off to middle school. Life sure is fun. :)

You’re not kidding, it’s hard to believe we’ve been in Madrid over two years, just seemed yesterday we were back in Germany. As of May 1st we’ve been gone from Canada nine years!!!!!!!!

My Dad said the time from 40 to 65 will disappear in the blink of an eye. He wasn’t kidding.

I also want to wish your daughter a happy birthday. Is there any way to slow life down a little? ;)

Happy Birthday to your daughter on her 10th birthday.

We have six children and its still hard for me to believe that we only have three still at home now. I can still remember all six in the house!

Good Luck :)

Ten years goes by so fast, doesn’t it? My two girls are 14, and 13, and my son is 8. It makes me almost tear up to see them growing so fast.
