So far I’ve only shown the areas that ARE organized, but I’ll start tackling the areas that aren’t, and how I manage it, each Tuesday (roughtly, life dependant of course!). Thanks for the mention on the envelope budgeting system. It has saved us much grief over the last couple years. One of the nice things about it that I didn’t mention in my article was that you have just a single withdrawal for “cash” right around paycheck time, and no other checkcard transactions to reconcile in the coming days. It makes keeping up with your checkbook balance a breeze!
