Circus

There’s something for everyone at the circus!

Welcome to the Carnival of Money Stories Circus Edition!

Step right up and enjoy the entertainment!  You’ll find a little bit of everything right here, and I promise you won’t be bored!  Let me take your ticket, and you can head right over to the Big Tent and have a seat!  Be sure to grab some popcorn and beverages before the show begins.  Are you ready?  Here we go!

The Main Attraction – Editor’s Pick

Glblguy shows us that even personal finance bloggers don’t always have it all together at Gather Little By Little.  Integrity and authenticity are qualities to be admired, especially when it means ‘fessing up to imperfections.

Bring in the Clowns – Juggling Life Issues

The Financial Blogger shares some tips on waiting for the clown, er potential boss, to arrive for the interview.

Pinyo writes about the chaotic 30’s at Moolanomy.  The 30’s is not the time to clown around with your money!

David also shares what he’s doing in his 30’s at My Two Dollars.  Perhaps I should take some of his advice!

Fat, rich clowns or poor, skinny clowns? Which do you prefer?  Let Kyle know at Rather-Be-Shopping!

FMF tells us how he’s grown his income in this circus we call life at Free Money Finance.  Lots of solid tips here.

The Tightrope Walker – Balancing Debt

Ana does an experiment that ends in green smoke at DebtFREE-Revolution.  Walking that debt tightrope isn’t all fun and games!

Stephanie opts to stay off the tightrope and teaches her son to do the same at Unclaimed Money.  Now that’s good parenting!

Alison partners with her husband to avoid debt at This Wasn’t in The Plan.  The key word is balance!

Abby Freedman says you have to have a plan of attack for getting off the debt tightrope at the MSN Smart Spending Blog.  She even suggests a plan for you!

JvW learned that you have to plan ahead if you want to stay out of debt at The Good Life on a Budget.  Step away from the tightrope!

The Amazing Magician – Making Money Appear

Watch Debt Dieter pull money out of an empty packing box at Debt Diet!  I wish I could perform that kind of magic!

Paidtwice magically turns DVDs into CFL lightbulbs at I’ve Paid for This Twice Already!  I wish I knew the secret behind that trick!

Raymond is turning the housing mortgage crisis into a better rental agreement at Money Blue Book.  I’d do the same thing, but my rent is already low for our area.

Want to get out of the middle class?  PT tells you how at Prime Time Money.  Wow!  That was easy!

The Fortune Teller – All About Investing

Dobromir accomplishes the amazing feat of outperforming the S&P 500 at Create Increasing Passive Income With Dividend Paying Stocks.  He thinks you can beat the S&P 500, too!

The Concession Stand – Everything Else

Wenchypoo shows you how to legally work the tax code to your advantage at Wisdom from Wenchypoo’s Mental Wastebasket.  Perhaps I should have read this last year.

Christine reminds you to consider the exchange rate when considering a move abroad at Me, My Kid, and Life.

Andrew Erickson takes the long view at Website Werx.  Sometimes spending money in the short term creates greater long term profits.

Finally, Jon Symons takes us on a visual tour of bank check history at Smart Money Daily.   It really is an interesting look at checks throughout history.  And today, I’m sure the price of these souvenirs is beyond my budget!

Thanks for stopping by to see the circus! Next week the carnival will be stopping at Banker Girl’s Blog.  To read more about the carnival or see who’s hosting future editions, visit the Carnival of Money Stories Home Page.
