An Interview and the Carnivals

Well, I’ve been tweaking and tampering with my new theme all morning, and it’s just about finished. I think I worked all of the major kinks out, so I hope you won’t even notice while I make some minor adjustments.

While you’re waiting for me to get back with a real post tomorrow, head over to My Two Dollars. David graciously took time to interview me, and the interview is up today! Thanks a lot, David! And welcome My Two Dollars readers! I promise I usually post a lot about finances and frugality. Today is an odd day here. For a sampling of my regular posts, check out the posts I submitted to the carnivals.

Which brings me to the carnivals. I participated in three of them this week. The Baglady hosted the Carnival of Debt Reduction. She included my post on those annoying convenience checks my bank sends me. I also enjoyed Do You Have Too Much Plastic? at Millionaire Money Habits. I think any plastic is too much, but you already knew that. ;)

Plonkee hosted the Carnival of Money Stories. She told a great bedtime story to go along with the carnival, so make sure you stop by if you haven’t already! Can you guess which link is mine? I’ll give you a hint. I submitted my post about my tax kicker refund. Also be sure to read about the naughty boy at Brip Blap. I’m sure you’ll recognize the story that post was taken from before you get to the end of it.

Finally, the Carnival of Personal Finance was held at the Green Panda Treehouse this week. My post about teaching children and pre-teens money management skills was listed as a favorite! I also liked Mighty Bargain Hunter’s post on Discipline and Personal Finance. It’s the truth!

If you still want more reading, the Money Advice for All Ages series is still going strong. Credit Withdrawal and Millionaire Money Habits are both talking about what to do in your 50’s today. To start from the beginning, visit My Dollar Plan.

Hopefully that is plenty of reading to get you by until I can get back here with a real post tomorrow! Have a great afternoon!

This IS the new theme! Looks a lot like my old one, eh? I’m glad the transition isn’t obvious.

I like the theme, though the pink might get a little getting used to. Cute piggy too. I couldn’t find anything nearly that cute out there.

    Thanks for the mention/link!

Panda Carnival was reall great as was Plonkee’s. They both put a ton of work into getting them up and running.

The Pig is pretty darn hip :)

Thanks for highlighting the naughty boy (I thought plonkee’s carnival was quite clever, similar to the one at paidtwice a while back). I like the new theme, although the pig looks very lonely out there!
