Carnivals, Credit Card Wars, and More!

It’s a mid-week link fest here at beingfrugal.net!  Things I need to link to are piling up so quickly, I’m afraid if I save it for the weekend, it will turn into a post that’s too long to read!  So I’m shaking up the normal routine and doing a mid-week carnival roundup!

Before I get to the carnival, though, I need to announce the winner of the credit card debate.  For those that need a refresher, Ana of DebtFREE-Revolution and Madison of My Dollar Plan had a debate as to whether credit cards are good or bad.  After the debate, they declared a winner.  And the winner is……ME!  I think they picked me, because regardless of what side I’m on, I took charge of my cards by shredding them.  :)

It’s also Ana’s birthday today, so make sure you head over to DebtFREE-Revolution to sing Happy Birthday to her!

Now on to the carnivals!  I participated in three this week.

• The Carnival of Debt Reduction was hosted by No Credit Needed.  My post I’m in the black! was included.  Make sure you don’t miss the Silicon Valley Blogger’s thoughts on handling a heavy debt load at the Digerati Life.
• And the Carnival of Money Stories was held at the Carnival of Money Stories homepage.  My year-end wrap up was included.  There are plenty of money stories in that one post. :)  Make sure you read Self Worth and a Piece of Plastic at I’ve Paid For This Twice Already, too.  It’s been a long time since that’s happened to me, but it’s embarrassing when it does!
