It’s been a busy week. Being Frugal has a new look. I love it, but working out all the kinks took up a chunk of my time this week. I apologize for not being as active in commenting as I usually am. I was reading, even if I wasn’t saying a lot, and I came across a lot of good posts this week.
From the M-Network:
- Christian PF gives us 6 Tips for a Debt Free Christmas. He has a slightly new look to his blog, too.
- Ana at DebtFREE-Revolution is celebrating that she has less than $10,000 left! Congratulations, Ana! Keep up the good work, and you’ll be debt-free in no time!
- Glblguy reflects on 10 things he’s done over the last year to regain financial control at Gather Little By Little. This post was very encouraging to me.
- Paidtwice was able to conquer her fear of Target. I think I’m going to try her strategy next time I have some shopping to do at Target. Why is it that it’s so easy to overspend at that store?
- Visit Moolanomy to find out why it’s good to be a new customer. I couldn’t believe the great deal he scored!
- David says Create a Shopping List to Stop You From Buying Anything at My Two Dollars. It sounds strange when you first look at it, but when you read the post, it makes a lot of sense. I think I might give it a try.
- Plonkee shares 101 frugal Christmas present ideas. If you’re on a tight budget, Plonkee Money is the place to look for gift ideas this week. I know I’ll be consulting the list for my shopping.
- Single Guy Money laments that temptation is all around him. Don’t you hate that? I hope he was able to get through his business trip without overspending.
- The Dough Roller highlights 10 Online Budget Tools. I’m definitely going to be checking a few of these out!
And from the rest of the blogosphere:
- Money Dummy tells Why Envy and I Parted Company. I remember getting to this point in my life. The sooner you get there, the more content you will be.
- Erin tells us that Procrastination is Expensive at Working For Financial Freedom. I’ve learned that lesson the hard way.
- Visit Stop the Ride for a list of 13 things that are Better Tasting and Almost as Easy when they’re made from scratch. Stephanie even posts the links to the recipes she uses!
- Brip Blap compares high quantity versus high quality. Are you getting your money’s worth?
- Clever Dude wrote a good piece on recognizing stress and it’s effects. I think I need to re-read that one. I’ve been feeling a little edgy this week.
On to the Carnivals. I participated in three carnivals this week.
- Paidtwice hosted the 99th edition of the Festival of Frugality.
- My Two Dollars hosted the Carnival of Personal Finance.
- Cash Money Life hosted the Carnival of Debt Reduction.
- I didn’t participate in this one, but Moolanomy hosted the Carnival of Money Stories. I’m hosting this week, so make sure to submit your blog posts. I’d love to include you!
Finally, I’m going to ask a favor of you all. I’ve entered a contest to win a custom theme from Girly Blog Designz. I know I just changed my theme, but this is for my other blog, From Under the Clutter. I want to redesign that theme to give it two sidebars. I’ve made it to the final round of the contest, and the person with the most votes wins. So if you have a moment, I would really appreciate it if you would leave a comment on this post at Girly Blog Designz, saying you’re voting for me. Thanks!
