Welcome to the 98th edition of the Festival of Frugality! There were a lot of submissions this week, so let’s jump right in!

Frugal Favorites (aka the editor’s picks)

Lisa tackles The Make Your Own Laundry Detergent Debate. I’ve tried homemade and buying the cheap stuff. I prefer buying the cheap stuff. I know a lot of people disagree with me though.

Need to exercise more? Before you join the gym, read Top 10 Cheapest Ways To Exercise by the Silicon Valley Blogger. It’s a great post, and I love the pictures, too! :) Now I just need to take the advice….

Aparna presents Beauty and Personality Grooming: Home-made face wash. This might be a good one to try after you take the Halloween makeup off.

We all know childbirth is expensive. Moorea gives us a money-saving alternative to a hospital birth at Femme Economics*: The Cost of Child-birth.

Finally, don’t forget to take advantage of employee benefits, such as the flexible spending plan. Robert D Flach gives you some tips on sorting it all out in IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN! – PART IV.

Frugal Inspiration

Grace tells us how to Keep Those Dollars Trickling In. Every little bit helps!

jewel shares how she and her husband are Reducing our Debts. They’ve managed to cut a lot of expenses this year. Great job!

Argonautica gives us the Frugality Lessons of Carl Weathers. It’s an interesting read.
