It’s been a long week. It’s never easy when your husband loses his job. However, the support I’ve received from you, my readers, has been amazing! The number of people who have stopped to leave an encouraging comment, say a prayer, and offer some sound advice just blows me away. So thank you all. I hope one day I can repay your kindness.

- Mary Hunt revealed the National Retail Federation’s forecast for holiday spending this year at Money Rules, Debt Stinks! I cannot imagine spending that much money on Christmas. It kind of defeats the meaning of the holiday.
- Brip Blap shares the myth of the parent that NEEDS to work. Now this is a post after my own heart.

- Paidtwice asks whether or not to merge your finances when you’re in a relationship and combining households. Why don’t you stop by and tell her what you think?
- Moolanomy tells us about the art of unethical up-selling. He recently had a bad experience with an online purchase. Don’t make the same mistake.
- My Two Dollars gives you ten reasons you should quit your job today. Unless you’re me and you don’t have a job to quit, but you already know that story. :) Maybe I should write a post on ten reasons you should never go back to work.
- Plonkee Money talks about cameraderie and one upmanship. I really like this perspective!
- Single Guy Money tells us why some of the properties he’s been looking at as investments are so cheap.
- The Dough Roller posts a funny story about toddlers rallying against Hillary Clinton’s universal pre-K plan. Whether you’re for it or against it, this is one hysterical post!

I read the whole story in one sitting, and I don’t have a particularly long attention span. I’m definitely going to follow this blog to see how things turn out.
