I’ve been tagged for a meme by Paidtwice. I’ve been sitting here for several days trying to think of seven random, interesting things about myself. It’s the interesting part that is difficult! I finally decided to just start typing and see what comes out. So here they are. Seven random things about me.
1. I’m a musical type. I’ve been playing the flute since I was ten, though I don’t play much anymore. Actually my flute needs some repairs, or I’d probably play it more. I also sing on the worship team at church from time to time. I usually sing on the weeks when my husband (one of the worship leaders) is desperate for a fill-in female singer.
2. I hate to make phone calls. I will do anything to avoid picking up the phone and dialing a number. My husband is amazed at the lengths I’ve gone to in avoiding even making a call to the pizza place to put in an order.
3. I enjoy being alone, but I hate a quiet house. I’m an introvert, so I need a certain amount of time alone to function well. Yet when I’m alone, I need to have the TV or radio on, or I go completely insane. I guess I’m used to all the noise the kids make.
4. I used to play fantasy football. I know. You’re all rolling on the floor laughing, because it just doesn’t sound like me. And you’d be right. But my husband is an ex-sportscaster and very into all sports. I reached the point where I figured I couldn’t compete with the TV on Sundays, so I joined a fantasy football team, so I’d be more interested in football. It worked. I played for three years, and I was the most die-hard football fan there was. I think I got more upset when my team was losing than my husband did. Now our son has us watching NASCAR, so we don’t see as much football anymore. Can’t wait to watch Talladega tomorrow!
5. I’m a big Dale Earnhardt Junior fan. (I stole this idea from Pinyo). But I wasn’t a Dale Senior fan. I have a real thing for rooting for the underdog, and I would love to see Dale Jr. get out from under his dad’s shadow and be known for his own success. Plus, Dale Jr. IS pretty good looking. Don’t worry. My husband already knows how I feel. He outed me on his own blog.
6. I make up silly songs. I have a hard time remembering song lyrics, so I just make up my own words. It drives my family crazy.
7. I laugh when I’m nervous. Ask anyone who’s talked to me on the phone. I laugh all the way through the conversation.
So now you know a little more about me. I’m not sure it’s what you wanted to know, but it’s me. :)
Now I need to tag seven more people So I tag As We Wait in Joyful Hope, Working For Financial Freedom, Chocolate the Other White Meat, Not Keeping Up With the Joneses, God’s Grace in Practice, Frugal Habits, and Gather Little By Little. Have fun!

Ha! Now we can team up on Glblguy who is a Jeff Gordon fan.
I didn’t realize that’s your husband’s blog. I left him a comment too…small world.
Lynnae, I’ll play!! This should be a fun one…Go Jr!! LOL! My daughter is a gordon fan…she’s not allowed to sit by me when we are watching races ;)
What’s with the Gordon fans???? Pinyo, we’ll need to teach Glblguy a few things. :)
My husband is a Gordon fan too. My daughter likes Jamie McMurray, and my son likes whoever is winning. :)
Thanks to you Lynnae, I got tagged from Carrie! And I couldn’t tag the two of YOU because…you’d already been tagged *sniffle*. Oh well, I managed to do it…but I’m not as interesting as ya’ll are LOL
Hi! I just found you and was reading through the archives…I’m the exact same way about the phone! Unless I’m calling someone I know (like Mom or my best friend) I despise calling people.
