I’m a practical person, and I love practical tips for making my life more frugal. With that in mind, here are my favorite “tips” posts of the week.
- A guest post by Merchant Ships at Frugal Hacks provides lots of tips for remaining cheerful while maintaining a frugal grocery budget.
- Free Money Finance gives us Ten Money-Saving Travel Tips.
- Gomestic shows us how we can store food to make it last longer.
- No Credit Needed tells us how to keep track of owners manuals. This one is on my to-do list for next week!
- My Two Dollars gives us 10 new ways to save money.
And here are a few favorites from the M-Network.
- Gather Little By Little tells us how to stand up to financial peer pressure.
- Plonkee shows us how he chooses a savings account.
- Christian PF has a great method for budgeting with ING Direct.
- The Dough Roller spent the entire week writing a series of posts about chess and the art of personal finance. Start with the first post, and keep going. It’s a great series!
- Single Guy Money laughs at a phishing email he received. It’s funny, because he caught it. Check out his post to see how he knew the email wasn’t real.
It was a popular week for guest posts on the M-Network.
- Jaime from I’ve Paid for This Twice Already shows us how to decide whether to pay annually or by the month at Financial Dominance.
- And even though I hate to link to my own blog in a roundup post, I’m going to. Pinyo wrote a great guest post for me about 10 questions that will enhance your frugality. If you liked that post, you should go visit Pinyo at his blog, Moolanomy.
Finally, congratulations are in order this week.
- DebtFREE-Revolution bought a pretty nice truck for $600 and was able to get out from under her auto loan.
- Clever Dude paid off the last of his credit card debt this week! Go congratulation him!
That’s enough reading to keep you busy for a while! Have a great weekend!
Just a reminder: Look for a special feature by the members of the M-Network on October 8. We will each post our best and worst financial decisions. So mark your calendars, and be prepared to learn from our successes and mistakes.
