Site Simplicity

Blog Business

A few weeks ago Gather Little By Little posted about Skelliwag.org, a blog about blogging. More accurately, a blog about making your blog better. Skellie was offering to do free simplicity reviews for interested bloggers. Scared to death, I emailed her and asked her to do a review of Being Frugal.

I am so glad I had her review my site! She had some fabulous suggestions for simplifying things around here, and she even customized my banner a bit, so my blog wouldn’t look like every other blog running this theme. If you are interested in making your blog better, I strongly recommend subscribing to Skellie’s blog.

I also have to thank Brandon, who graciously offered to install my banner. I was talking about my site design in the comments of one of my posts, and I mentioned that I wasn’t too good with HTML. He stepped in and offered to get this done for me. I never would have installed it if left to my own devices!

So thank you Skellie and Brandon for helping me make my site better! I really appreciate it!

Hey Lynnae, I appreciate the recommendation!

And thanks to Brandon for installing the banner. I’m really pleased with how it looks on the site :)

You’ve done a great job with your About page. I love offering a bite-sized and more detailed version of each point, giving both the time-strapped and deep-reader options suited to them. I think it’s great that you’ve taken the time to craft a gripping About page. It’s one of the best I’ve seen.

    Hi Lynnae
Your blog does look really good, but I have a little problem,. When I get to your home page, I just find a list of stuff eg blogging, Christian perspectives etc. And thenI have to scroll a long way down (once I select `blogging’ to find a post (and I’m not even sure if its the most recent. So this is my response to what I think is your most recent post (the sep 21 post). Am I missing something? I really like having the latest post visible as soon as I arrive at the site.
    Otherwise, it all looks good!

Thanks for letting me know! I sent you an email, because that’s probably the easiest way to sort this out.

I think I’ve got it fixed. And if anyone is ever having a problem with something gone wonky here, don’t hesitate to tell me. :)
