I participated in three blog carnivals this week.
The Carnival of Debt Reduction - Emmy Awards Edition was posted yesterday at Ask Mr. Credit Card. If you’re a fan of the Emmy’s (and even if you’re not), you’ll love the way the carnival was put together. I submitted one of my older posts, Why I Want to Get Out of Debt. I also recommend reading:
- Create a Visual Debt Reminder at The Simple Dollar. It takes less than an hour to create a reminder, and physically seeing the state of your finances can go a long way in keeping you motivated.
- Add a Windfall to Your Snowball at Mighty Bargain Hunter. My husband and I did that early this year, when we received a small inheritance. Though it was hard to write the checks, it was nice to see our debt cut in half.
The Carnival of Money Stories is up at I’ve Paid For This Twice Already, and what a story it is. You just have to read it! I entered my post about my recent shopping experience at Target. Other great posts to check out are:
- Why the Money Dummy Started Getting Smarter at One Money Dummy Getting Smarter. I’m sure there are a lot of us who can relate to this story. I know I sure can.
- Would You Buy This House? at The Digerati Life. The pictures are….well, you just have to see them!
Finally, the Festival of Frugality is up at NCN. I submitted my resources for frugal cooking. Other noteworthy articles are:
- The Cost of Fear at Growing Up. I can really relate to this. I really hate making phone calls.
- Having a Goal Helps You Be Frugal at Blueprint for Financial Prosperity. One of my goals is to work on setting goals. I tend to have dreams rather than concrete goals. I think I would benefit from setting a few real goals.
That’s all for this week! Enjoy the read!
