You just inspired me! I changed the name of one of my labels in G Mail, and put my incoming bills into it. It is near the top of the list, so it will be no problem to refer to. I use online billing as well, but I pay via my bank's bill pay system, which is very easy.

Angelsong’s last blog post..Finances are looking up

Thanks, Rebecca! I look forward to not having as much paper around. And I like the idea of using a flash drive to retrieve information.

RE: Paperless--You go girl! Just to encourage you further, I "thought" I needed a printer. I'd just returned to the US after years as a teacher abroad. I bought a printer after much comparison shopping and picking the brains of many IT types. I got it with one spare cartridge @ $30. I haven't need to print since I bought it because I manage to "save" and retrieve info in my Internet based email folders or my flash (USB) drive. I still have a fresh ream of paper never opened! YOU CAN 2

Paula - decluttering never seems to end. I can't figure out why that is!

Hilda - if I can stop eating out, so can you. We were seriously addicted to eating out, but it's been well over a week now. And I haven't missed it too much.

Eric - I definitely plan on backing up my system frequently. I learned that lesson the hard way when our last computer died in March. We didn't have a recent backup. It was awful.

If you go paperless, be sure you backup your system regularly. Having lost data in system crashes myself, I can tell you that you want to avoid that all costs. Especially with financial data.

As for financial goals, I am planning on changing up my investments in my 401k!

I intend to NOT eat out this week. I already made a weekly menu and shopped for groceries. I'm starting this week but I hope to make this a habit in the long run.

This week I am gathering up stuff out of cabinets, closets, drawers, and under beds to sell at my garage sale. I just finished in my bedroom/bathroom. Wow. And I thought I was pretty good about decluttering the last few years with Flylady. I can't believe some of the stuff that has survived three decluttering rounds. :)
