After careful thought and consideration, I’ve decided to move Being Frugal to my own domain. This blog has been growing a lot faster than I had planned, and I’m realizing the limitations of a self-contained blogging platform. With that in mind, I’m working on the new site. Hopefully we’ll be up and running in the next week or two. I’ll keep you all posted.
Changes are coming!

Yay! If I can do it, really, anyone can. Good luck on a smooth transition!
If you need any help, please let me know. Just hit me up via email or via the M-Network forum.
Congrats on taking the next step and for your success!
Can’t wait to see you on your new site.
I echo glblguy’s comment – if you need any help with the setup, you know where to find me.
You are BOLD girl! I have been wanting to start my own real blog, but am too computer chicken. You go first! :-)
Hi Being Frugal,
I really like your blog.
Can you tell me what the advantages are of having a blog at your own domain?
Is it that the more intricate your blog gets, the more charges you get from your blogspace provider? And that you will avoid these by having your own domain?
Thanks for all the encouragement! I’m working on the new theme right now. I doubt I’ll get it done before this weekend, so it will probably be next week before I migrate over to my own site.
And Boomeyers, if I can do it, certainly you can too! :)
Good for you!
I don’t comment often, but I always enjoy your well-thought posts.
As iphone 4 white 3GS has something of non-update to the iPhone range, but there are finally decent alternatives in the smartphone market, with the HTC Desire and Samsung Galaxy S leading the Android fight right to Apple’s door.
