Weekly Roundup August 18

by Lynnae on August 18, 2007 · 2 comments

There were some great frugal posts in the blogosphere this week.  Here are a few to check out!

The Millionaire Mommy Next Door compiled a HUGE list of financial calculators.  Find out how your budget compares to others, if you have a spending problem, what your time is worth, and much more.

Find some alternatives to paying for a gym membership at Motherload: The Mom Advice Blog.  I just discovered this blog, and I love it already!

Work at Home In Progress made a list of healthy additions to a school lunch.  With school right around the corner, I’m always looking for school lunch ideas.  It’s much more frugal (and healthier) for kids to pack their own lunches than to buy them at school.

Speaking of school, Suddenly Frugal wrote a great post about buying school supplies.  I’ve already finished buying school supplies this year, but I’m definitely going to use her idea next year!

Finally, find out how to find the cheapest gas prices at ChristianPF.com.  Since my husband has to drive for his job, I’m always on the lookout for the best prices on gas.  We spent $400 on gas alone last month!  I’m glad that my husband won’t be driving quite as much on his new job.

That’s it for this week.  Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the mention of my collection of calculators! Took lots of work, but I had a blast trying them out.
